The general concept in a Hosted IP solution is that you, the customer, do not have to own a business telephone system. You connect to a Hosted IP provider via an appropriate connection (one that provides the bandwidth and reliability you require) and all of the business telephone system features are delivered to you across this connection. Multiple sites or remote workers can be connected to the Hosted IP provider and all the sites appear as one system to the user. This allows you to call office-to-office whether the office is across the hall or across the globe.
